What We Do

Professional Slab Leak Detection

"We had a great experience with Mastertex. They repaired our A/C drain under the house including excavation, and the whole process was handled professionally. The plumbers (Connor, Clint, Austin, and the excavation team) who came out were knowledgeable, courteous, and took time to answer all of our questions. They were very helpful, and we really appreciated their patience. The repair was completed well, and we’d recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services. Thank you for a job well done."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately, I now know WAY too much about plumbing. This is not a review I ever expected to write because, frankly, nobody wants to need a plumber. Nobody wakes up thinking, “You know what would really improve my week? A full-house plumbing replacement.” 😂 But here we are. I had the entire plumbing system in my old house replaced, which was easily one of the most painful financial moments of my life. I briefly considered selling a kidney. Then I remembered kidneys are apparently not worth what plumbing costs. 😂 Enter MasterTex, Conner, and Austin. These guys were FANTASTIC. At one point, I had 20–25 people working on my house. TWENTY-FIVE. I have attended weddings with fewer people. And somehow, despite having what looked like an entire plumbing army occupying my home, everyone was professional, respectful, courteous, and incredibly considerate. They tackled a massive job with a great attitude and never made me feel like I was living in the middle of a construction war zone. They communicated, worked hard, cleaned up, and treated my home and belongings with respect throughout the entire process. Was I thrilled to pay for a brand-new plumbing system? No. Would I rather be on some European vacation or a cruise around the world? Duh! Was I thrilled with the people who installed it? Absolutely. In fact, I am almost offended by how pleasant they made the worst financial experience of my life. 😂 So if you’re sitting there thinking, “I really hope I never need a plumber…” Same. But when your house inevitably decides to financially ruin you through the plumbing, Call MasterTex. Because if you have to spend the money, you might as well have a company that sends an army of incredibly professional people into your house who actually know what they’re doing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would absolutely recommend. Would absolutely use them again. Would absolutely prefer not to need them again. 😂 Thank you to the entire MasterTex crew. You guys were seriously awesome."

"I had a leaking water heater that needed replacing and called, thinking it would take days. They called back with a fair quote and came out the same day to install. Went above and beyond and did a great job. Highly recommend!"

Questions

Slab Leak Detection FAQs

What are the signs of a slab leak?

Warm spots on the floor, the sound of running water when nothing is on, unexplained spikes in your water bill, cracks in walls or flooring, and damp carpet — any of these warrant a slab leak detection call.

How much does slab leak detection cost?

Detection typically runs $150–$650 depending on complexity. The detection fee is often credited toward the repair when we perform the fix.

How do you find a slab leak without digging?

We use electronic amplification to listen for the leak, thermal imaging to spot temperature changes, and pressure testing to confirm — all before any access is cut.

How is a slab leak repaired?

Options include a direct spot repair (opening the slab at the leak), rerouting the pipe above the slab, or re-piping the home. We recommend the best fit for your situation and budget.

Is slab leak repair covered by insurance?

Many homeowners policies cover the cost of accessing and repairing the leak and water damage, though not always the pipe itself. We provide documentation to support your claim.

How fast can you come out for a slab leak?

We offer same-day slab leak detection for most Royse City and DFW calls — slab leaks can cause foundation damage, so we treat them urgently.
